French harpist Coline-Marie Orliac studies at The Curtis Institute with Elizabeth Hainen, principal harp of The Philadelphia Orchestra, and Judy Loman, former principal harp of the Toronto Symphony. She toured Europe in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester at the invitation of Claudio Abbado, is a member of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, and has performed in the Chamber Orchestra of Nice. She won first prize in the 2005 UFAM International Harp Competition , was the first French harpist to win a prize at the Vera Dulova Harp Competition in Moscow , and was awarded the bronze medal and the Mario Falcao Prize at the Seventh USA International Harp Competition. Ms. Orliac studied at the Nice Conservatoire, receiving two diplomas of musical studies and first prizes in harp and piano.
