Hirono Oka is a member of the first violin section of The Philadelphia Orchestra. Since Making her debut in her native Japan with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra at age 11, she has appeared as soloist with orchestras including The San Francisco Chamber Ensemble, Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and The Utica Symphony Orchestra. As chamber musician, she has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, The Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music Series, Network for New Music, The Theatre Chamber Players of The Kennedy Center, and other international venues. She is a faculty member at Temple University and its Music Prepatory Division. She is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music.
