Randall ScarlattaHailed for his warm, expressive sound, consummate musicianship, baritone Randall Scarlata has become one of the most sought-after musical interpreters of his generation. His performances throughout the United States, Europe and South America have garnered raves from audiences and critics alike. "A triumph – this baritone has in his keeping the vocal wherewithal to do just about anything he wants" (The Boston Globe). He has appeared as soloist with major orchestras including The Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Brooklyn Philharmonic, American Symphony, and many others. As recitalist and chamber musician, he has performed with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at Alice Tully Hall, at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, for the La Jolla Chamber Music Society, and in Vienna, Salzburg, Hamburg, and Nice. A frequent performer of new music, Mr. Scarlata has given world premieres of works by Ned Rorem, Samuel Adler, Daron Hagen, Thea Musgrave, Lori Laitman, and Robert Capanna among others. In addition, Mr. Scarlata has recorded for the Albany, Gasparo, CRI and Arabesque Records labels.He is a member of the voice faculty West Chester University, and graduated from the Eastman School of Music, Juilliard School, and studied in Vienna on a Fulbright Grant.
